Diablo II

This is the pally pumped up he really is!  He is a very good class one of my favorites with his fast attacking and resisting at a high level this beast is impossible to take down.  This is one of the hardest classes to level so try to take your time and exit and re-enter the game often to refresh the monsters to find better items and gain more levels.

When you play on hardcore you have a better chance of getting magic items.  This does not mean you have a better chance of getting just greens or tan.  It means that blues drop more often and so do the others.  However once you die you will be in trouble for ever.  You will not be able to play your guy again you have one life.  Do not pick hardcore if you play online because if you die you will not be able to come back.  Keep that in mind.  However if you do die offline I do have some tricks into helpling you come back.  First right click on the diablo II icon go to the bottom tab that says properties then go to open file location once you are in there right click on the saved folder click copy and then paste to the desktop.  Do this before you start playing.  When you die erase the saved folder in diablo II and replace it with the one you saved to the desktop.  However this will erase all other progress anyone has done scince you got on and died.  To only do your character and not the group just double click on the saved folder.  Look for your characters name copy them to desktop just like before.  And replace them again.

The bosses of Diablo II and Diablo II exp arent easy.  On normal the fight to the end is as simple as it gets you just fight your way through kill everything go to the end and by the time you get to the boss you are ready.  As you begin to clear acts the difficulty progresses.  It begins to take more than just hacking everything and getting to the boss.  To find out more ways to build and kill click on this link.

This game is a sequel to the not so good original, Diablo.   In Diablo II, you have your choice of 5 different chars to pick from. Each has different abilities. The Paladin has magic that can effect everyone in party or just himself, these spells will help raise stats while in use or give special features. The Sorceresses use nothing but war magic to fight against her enemies, mostly because she is weak in melee combat.  The Amazon is a ranged attackers using javelins or archery with enchantments. The Nercomancer can summon undead, golems, and creatures that have already been killed to fight for him, he also weak in melee combat such as the Sorceresses. The Barbarian only has attacks that help his melee fighting, he is pure hand to hand combat and has no special war magic or anything. The Barbarian also has battle cries that work that same as a Paladin's magic does, but they only last for a few seconds and burn mana.

The story line to the game is that Diablo was beaten by this hero in the first one. But the only way the warrior could beat Diablo would  be to trap Diablo's soul inside himself. After much time, he has weaken from battling the demon inside himself. As he failed to beat Diablo, Diablo comes back to seek his revenge and take over all the lands again. You find yourself as 1 or 5 different types of chars traveling the lands to fight the many demons of Diablo and Diablo himself.

This game can also be played online. I myself play this game online and offline. Currently I have some high levels off and online in the game.  If you wish to contact me while I am online, my account name is Rendalor. I can help out people that want help (I will not hook you up with items), but I can rush, or help with quest.

Screenshot winner, by Stormbeast Hellfang.  Out of many game action shots, this was the most attractive. The very dark paving stones of the Chaos Sanctuary set off the colorful action very well, and the aura-enchanted boss monster with Conviction, the green aura, and also some Fanaticism in effect, and even some cursing going on. Pretty glowing hands from the Oblivion Mage boss pack, de Seis in the top middle with blue hands, glowing stalker reviveds, the just-cracked seal glowing brightly, red rocks in the foreground, lava to the rear... a truly gorgeous shot.

What exactly is happening here is interesting, and we only know since the author filled us in.  There are two auras in sight, both Conviction and Fanaticism, but since this shot is from Nightmare, it's explained by de Seis being a double aura enchanted in this case.  He always has Conviction, and bosses on Nightmare get an extra property, and he got "Aura Enchanted" and the aura was Fanaticism.  The green Conviction shows up on the Necro's minions here since they have been inflicted with it, while the Oblivion Mage minions have Fanaticism since it's been shared to them by de Seis. -- Screenshot winner, image by Stormbeast Hellfang.

Each three acts and the Finale will have its own unique horde of monsters.  A few of Diablo's original monsters will make a reappearance such as The Fallen, Zombie and Skeleton classes simply because the team liked them and really no dungeon would be complete without them.  Diablo will be joined by his brothers Baal and Mephisto as well as the subject of the final Act One quest, the lesser evil Andariel.

In a Dii.net community forum post Erich Schaefer, head of Blizzard North's character and monster design team, stated that they "...have over 60 unique monster models..." in the game with usually about three to four palette shifts per model. Doing the math gives us a total of 180 to 240 monster types. In addition to the standard monsters the game will incorporate random uniques with random abilities and minions, random "Champions" with different abilities that are always found alone, and special uniques that are vitally important to the Diablo 2 storyline. Additionally monster spawners that act like monsters will make an appearance as well as monster like objects e.g.- turrets that shoot fireballs. All in all quite a cornucopia for aspiring Diablo 2 adventurers to feast on.

In addition to the palette shifts, the component system, mentioned in the Characters section, allows for the creation of more complex monster differentiation as lead artist Phil Shenk explains.

"...you could have a monster that uses almost as many weapons as you do, and uses different kinds of armor too. So we have a lot of different looks to the monsters. A monster might have five different kinds of heads to just give it a different look."

The AI has been improved also.   When we played DII back in May we noticed that standing in the doorway to pick monsters off one by one didn't work.  If you tried to employ this tactic a monster would come and smack you out the way.  It seems Blizzard wants us to be in the thick of the action all the time.

Another AI-related factor is that the player will face different monsters depending on whether it's day or night and monsters will now travel in packs. "It won't just be a salt-and-pepper shaker of monsters, they tend to roam in packs and have behaviours that relate to their packs"
